Here at Sales Sense Payments, we want to keep our clients in the know about the newest technology updates and changes. The following is a report from Worldpay, LLC notifying the general public about replacing their end of life (EOL) terminals.
At Worldpay, providing efficient and secure methods of payment processing is a top priority while also helping to ensure our merchants are using reliable terminals.
As part of ongoing support and maintenance to keep terminals running as they should, we provide direct software updates and health checks for legacy point of sale Verifone and Ingenico terminals. We manage this via the VeriCentre Terminal Management System which will be decommissioned in 2025.
Once VeriCentre is decommissioned, Worldpay can no longer support devices that are considered end of life (EOL) terminals like the ones listed below:
Verifone Vx Series (Vx520 and Vx680)
Verifone Legacy Omni Series
Ingenico ICT220/250 and Ingenico IWL220/252/255
For your merchants to avoid the risk of not having support or experiencing an interruption in transaction processing, they should replace their terminal/s by January 30, 2025.
Ideally, merchants would replace their terminal/s prior to the busy holiday season to minimize their risk.
